    What is the difference between Bifonazole (CanesPro®) and Clotrimazole (Canesten®)?

    Bifonazole (CanesPro®) contains bifonazole, a highly-potent antifungal agent which can also kill gram-positive bacteria (Corynebacterium minutissimum). It is also a more convenient treatment that you only need to apply once daily for 2-4 weeks compared to Clotrimazole that you apply 2-3x a day. [1-4]

    Can this be used for Vaginal Yeast infection cases?

    Currently, there is no clinical data supporting the use of Bifonazole (CanesPro®) in vaginal yeast infections. Bifonazole (CanesPro®) is not recommended for use in vaginal yeast infections. Please consult a healthcare professional for further advice. 

    What is athlete’s foot?

    Known as alipunga, athlete's foot is a fungal skin infection caused by fungi that thrive in warm and moist environments like changing rooms, showers and public pools. Walking barefoot in these places puts you at greater risk. Athlete’s foot usually occurs between your toes, but it can also affect the soles and sides of your feet.

    You don’t have to be an athlete to get infected and it’s not a matter of poor hygiene. Fungal skin infections may feel uncomfortable, but in most cases there’s nothing to worry about and they can be treated easily.

    How to Use

    Apply once a day, preferably in the evening, before you go to sleep. It should be applied thinly to the affected skin area and rubbed in. A strip of cream (1/2 cm long) is enough to treat an area about the size of the hand. To achieve a lasting cure and prevent recurrence, apply consistently once daily over 2-4 weeks depending on the condition.
